Reasons To Vote Conservative on 10th June 2004
On
June 10, you will have the opportunity to vote for who will represent you in the
European Parliament. The result is
important in relation to our position within Europe. In Europe, not run by
Europe.
·
Conservatives
pledge to cut excessive Brussels red tape that hinders enterprise
and job creation. All future
European regulations should have time-limiting ‘sunset clauses’, making
European officials work out how much regulations will cost business before
introducing them, and allowing MEPs to repeal laws rather than just create them.
·
Allowing
greater flexibility. Countries should be free to work together when they want to
- but they shouldn’t be forced to give up power to Europe if they don’t want
to.
·
Continue
to oppose British membership to the Euro. British businesses have a better
chance for greater prosperity outside the restrictive Euro currency.
·
Conservatives
will preserve national control over asylum, immigration and defence policy.
Decisions that should be taken by voted representatives in this country - not by
bureaucrats in Brussels.
These
are all good reasons to vote Conservative on June 10.
But this election is also a chance for you to tell the Prime Minister
what you think of his record.
