Music

Anything that is guitar based. 'The sound of screaming guitars is music to our ears' to quote one source.  And I love live music. Have been to over 500 live concerts - including travelling twice to USA to the Ozzfest, and Scandinavia with Iron Maiden (and Hungary and Paris). And most weekends I will be down a pub in Brighton that has a live band on.  Recently I've been broadcasting 'House of Rock' on Radio Reverb.

Motor Bikes

I recently sold my motorbike and therefore don't get the chance to indulge this hobby these days - on nice days I miss the weekend trips don't get the chance to indulge this hobby much these days, maybe next year...

Tenere 660 for nipping around Brighton. Chris's YZ125.

Sports

Play a bit of badminton, used to be a qualified football referee (and played Sunday League Football with the Martha Gunners, based at the Martha Gunn pub in Upper Lewes Road quite a few years back - my first mention in the Argus being in 1976 when I scored a hat-trick within the first 17 minutes one game), and enjoy the occasional jog across the Downs - ran the 1998 London Marathon.  Like watching Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion.  Used to watch the Brighton Bears whenever I got a chance - lets hope the Bears come back soon maybe sharing a new Black Rock stadium with a Brighton Ice Hockey team?

Books, TV & Films

Dennis Potter. Absolutely my favourite playwright / author / dramatist of all time. See links page for Dennis Potter sites. Favourite book is Ken Keasey's 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest'. And fav TV is 'The Simpsons'. A little bit over exposed and starting to wear a bit thin, but the sub plots / references / multi level comments are just superb. Any series that can have 'Rover' off 'The Prisoner' (60's cut spy type drama) bouncing around the screen and not apologise for it, DESERVES respect.

I really like sitting down with a curry and a beer watching a good film. But as for any 'favourite' film...'Blow Out'...starring John Travolta.
